16+ Transition Services
We provide Life Skills and Transitions Programmes to young adults who are preparing to leave care equipping them with the educational, vocational and social skills they need to be successful members of society.
In our semi-independent living facilities we focus upon self-care and domestic living skills, planning and budgeting and interpersonal skills such as negotiation and working with others.
Young adults receive Careers Guidance in partnership with Connexions and tailored work related learning experiences through Trident. Excellent links with further education colleges allow our students to take vocational courses, including Construction, ICT, Catering, Animal Care, Welding, Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Vehicle Body Work.
We support young people moving to independent living through our bespoke Outreach Service. This provides relationship continuity and emotional stability during a major transition with practical advice and guidance on domestic living. We support the development of relationships the young person needs to make with new professional agencies, tutors and employers.
