Day Trip To London
Year 9 pupils went on a trip to the Tate Modern Art Gallery and for a river cruise on the Thames.
They went under the ‘wibbly wobbly bridge' as well walking over it. This bridge was built to celebrate the millennium and was shut down on the afternoon it was opened because it ‘wobbled' and was deemed unsafe for foot passengers. On the cruise, they passed many famous buildings including the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the OXO building, Shakespeare's globe and many other historical places like Billingsgate fish market, the London aquarium.
They also went to the big Art Gallery which used to be in a power station now known as Tate Modern.
They had a brilliant walk along the river from Tate Modern to Westminster to catch the cruise and saw a very very tall man as well as some talented street artists.
A great day was had by all!!!!
