Our specialist teaching team is our greatest resource. The Curriculum Coordinator, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, Specialist Subject Teachers and Learning Support Assistants provide a high staff : student ratio which enables us to cater for a small group setting and the individual support that is important for those young people who have suffered from damaging life experiences and who need to thrive both educationally and socially.

Specialist teaching areas enable young people to access a range of educational opportunities. Young people are able to develop their ICT skills in a fully networked, ICT room with internet links, making extensive use of digital technology. Constructive use is made of learning aids, such as visual, audio-visual and Powerpoint presentations.

Local Resources are also used extensively, including theatre and galleries, sports and leisure facilities, PE and outward-bound activities, youth clubs and arts projects. These provide opportunities to develop physical confidence, social skills and enhance self-esteem.
